Hoku Foundation

We fund for-purpose organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand to better understand and grow their impact. We develop long-term relationships with teams who are always learning, know how to execute and have a pathway to scale.

We take time to understand all of the work they do, the current results, challenges, and future potential. We look for teams who are willing to work with us in this high-trust way.

Since 2020, we have funded a wide range of organisations to collect better data, understand their drivers of impact, identify improvements and to take action based on those lessons.

We now provide flexible, multi-year funding to a small group of high-potential organisations focussed on youth employability and community housing.
